This study was conducted to investigate the relationship between levels of stress andproblem solving skills of athletes who participated Turkish Folk Dance Finals organized by the Federation in 2019. The sample consists of 383 athletes in the Turkish Folk Dance finals. In our study, demographic data form, "Problem Solving Inventory (PSI)" and "Perceived Stress Scale (PSS)" were used as measurement tools. As a result, a weak but significant correlation was found between the stress levels and problem solving skills of folk dancers. According to these findings; There was no significant difference between participants in terms of perceived stress scale according to the age category, gender, habitat, family income level, and education level of the mother and father. However, there was a significant difference between participants' sports experiences and perceived stress level. This difference was found out among participants with 4-7 years and 8-11 years and 12 years or more sport experience. In addition, no significant difference was found between the participants in terms of problem solving skills according to gender, age category, habitat, family income level, and education level of the mother and father. However, a significant difference was found between participants' experiences of participation in folk dances and problem solving skills. (p < 0,05). This difference was found out among participants with 4-7 years and 8-11 years and 12 years or more sport experience.
