The Beyoğlu District, which forms the historical center of Istanbul along with the Historical Peninsula, has been the scene of significant transformations since the 1980s. In this context, Taksim Square and its surroundings are still undergoing changes and transformations today. In this study, it is aimed to investigate the change of physical and socio-economic structurein Taksim Square which is a historical feature that is experiencing change and transformation. It is also aimed to determine the satisfaction levels of the new application and determination of the application results in the field, and to determine the extent to which the area meets the user needs in Taksim Square. Within the scope of this study, a survey study was conducted. In terms of the data obtained from the survey results, opinions and suggestions of users about Taksim Square and its surroundings were evaluated. In the user-based analysis method; it is thought that sustainable squares should be user-focused.
